A downloadable game

Intro:

The game is called "Evolve Or Die," and in the near future, the face of war has changed as tanks have been surpassed by powered suits called SHELLs.

In this world you will play as Jake, a mercenary for hire who is tasked with completing various missions around the globe. Some will require you to engage in an all out assault while piloting your SHELL, while others will require you to exit and carry out more covert operations on foot.

Players can expect a nice balance of different mission objectives and gameplay as you progress throughout the story.

*The visuals are still a work in progress, but note that these images were captured from an emulator that has filters applied to approximate how it looks on a DS screen. Therefore the actual colors may vary greatly depending on the device you play this on.*

Developer Message:

Hello and thank you for the interest in my game!

This being my first game for a retro console, I can not say when it will be finished. Initially this was intended to be a simple art project to take my mind off of my day job, but over time I've started to become more confident with my overall output for the game and wanted to start promoting my work more broadly.

My goal is to make the game 16 stages, with the ability to save your progress, and have it available for Switch and Steam. I'll consider providing a small demo of the first three stages if the project get's picked up.

Gameplay wise the player can fly in all directions, and shoot horizontally, however I am  considering  the possibility of adding an upgrade weapons feature, and a sub ability that might spice the gameplay up a bit. We will see though haha!

I also need to create music for the game.
Any composers out there want to work for free lol?
